I really liked wrote this blogs, it’s very funny… well, more than write in a paper. I liked it too because here I can write faster, I don’t know why in a paper (for me) it’s more complicated and slower to write ahaha, in the computer the ideas flow and I write and write non-stop.
It’s very interesting too, because here we can write about our experiences and likes or dislikes. It makes our learning more enjoyable.
Something important to me is that we can be take part of the process selecting some topics that for us are more important than others.  In this way, it’s more stimulating at the hour of writing. When the topics are near to our experiences is easier write about them. And more than easy, it’s funny and enjoyable.
So it’s a new way to learn to me. With this method I can learn to my own, I mean words or expressions that I search and found in the web. Also my own learning a big and important support in the method is the teacher, which guides the process during the semester.
Other thing that I found interesting is that we can comment other texts, so we can express our opinions and know the opinions of our classmates too. In this sense, we can know more about our classmates, more than “the thing of everyday”.
I hope in English IV we can follow this system, because to me it is very useful and practice. I feel that I really learn English, especially vocabulary and some important expressions at the moment to write something.  “The practice makes the master” says the expression, and with this system and the time, I’m sure that we can check it.

The house of Spirits

My favourite book is “The house of the Spirits”, its author calls Isabel Allende. She is a Chilean writer that has been called “the world’s most widely read Spanish-language author”, so her books have been translated to around 27 languages.
In this book, she talks about her and her family life’s history, but beyond that, the “magic” or the charm of the book, is that she incorporates elements like politic, love, dead, social class, revolution, etc. to her work.
Isabel Allende tells us about 4 generations of the Trueba’s family. The principal idea, is that Esteban Trueba, a man with many power in the society breaks the relative “harmony” which his family lives. All this aggravate with the dead of his wife: Clara. She was “special”, she could see more than the “normal people”, and this entire characteristic makes this character determinant. Clara teaches to her daughter Blanca the important of the life; she shows to Blanca the “other side of the money”:  the sweetness and simplicity of the life.
Blanca had a daughter called Alba with a controversial character of this piece, so this carries to some problems between Blanca and his father: Esteban. Alba was born in a difficult context: the Chilean military dictatorship. So through this context Alba lives different adventures and problems, not only family’s problems: political and love’s problems too.
This novel belonging to the magic realism shows the Chilean way of life through around 1 century, this is the best characteristic that I stand out. Also it isn’t complicated to read; it’s a very entertaining novel, full of nice details that make it exclusive.
Also is important that this story is not only on the paper, we can find a film of it, and a play too. I think that both are amazing representations, like the novel.

Graduation Ceremony

Graduation ceremony is very important to people, and this photo was taken this important and meaningful day. Also this, in the picture I’m with my family: my mom, my “little brother” and my dad (in order).
My graduation ceremony was last year, in December… It was a very nice ceremony and party too… We have the ceremony in “Enjoy Coquimbo”, it’s casino of the 4th region. It’s a very, very nice place to make different activities, like meetings, conferences, and… why not? Parties
I remember that this day was a little stressful, you know, the hairstyle, the nails, the dress, the shoes, and all that you can imagine. The hairstyle was a big matter: I didn’t know really what I wanted on my hair, so I was minimal 2 hours in the hairdressing saloon to make the hairstyle that you can see in this picture, there doesn’t see well it, but I promise you, it was the best!
Aside the hairstyle, the dress and shoes was a funny story, because I wasn’t sure which dress I wanted, so we were in shop to shop searching the famous dress… at the end, I chose one of the first dress I see, but it wasn’t all: the shoes. It was another funny story, but to extend to explain it.
Besides all this, it was a very important ceremony, because it was the end of a loooong process: the school. It was very emotive too, because I share this instance with my classmates of all my life, since I was in 1st grade. So, this ceremony was the “meaningful” end of 12 years day and day together…
I like too much this picture too, because I’m with the most important people of my life: my mom, my brother and my dad.

A nice day :)

An "afternoon" in the snow :D
I think the best day of my life was when I knew that I could travel to the “Old Continent”, the year before the last. The opportunity was an exchange to Germany for three months (The summer 2009-2010). At the first moment, I didn’t know well where I would go… It could be to the North, the Center or the South of Germany. I wished spend my exchange a city in the center of Germany, because in the South the people speak differents dialects, and it is difficult to understand… and I don’t know, the North didn’t call my attention.
I remember that just days before I travel I knew where would I live: an hour of Frankfurt, in a village (that of village doesn’t have nothing) called Erda.
It is a very nice village, just a little boring… but it was normal to my family and my neighbors, because the village was like a “beddroom city”, so all the people works, studies, and makes her/his “active life” in a City called Gießen, that was located about 45 minutes in bus. It was terrible, because for example, to go to my school, I waked up at 5:45 – 6:00 a.m, so there I taked the bus at 6:40 a.m and I was in my school at 7:25, 5 minutes before the beginning of my class. (The most terrible thing  was that in Germany was winter, so it wasn’t difficult to find -10 or -15 degrees in the morning).
Other good new was that after my exchange I taked a trip around differents European countries,  so there I had the great opportunity to knew more about this courious and precious continent.

Nokia C3

My favourite piece of technology is my Mobile Phone: it’s new, I have it since 1 or 2 weeks, because my older Mobile Phone somebody have pick pocketed it to me.
The model is Nokia C3, it looks like a Blackberry, but it is not. It is very comfortable, because it has a QWERTY keypad (like the computer’s Keypad), so when I text a message, It is faster and more comfortable.
Also my dear Mobile Phone has many functions, for example: it has Wi-Fi, so when I need see my e-mail, or simply see my Facebook, I can do it. It has Messenger too, so if I need say something to a friend and I don’t have money to call or text to him/her, I can login and all works :D.
Nokia C3 has to listen music too, so when I am in the bus, the travel it is more enjoyable. Also my Mobil Phone has a camera, with 2 megapixels (better than nothing)...
Well, beyond all the technology functions that it may have, my Mobile Phone is the mass media with which I am in contact with my friends and my family, because I don’t have phone at home.
Ps: It isn't pink, but it like it more than the colour that I have: black.

India! :)

A country that I would like visit is India... It’s located in South Asia, and It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area and the second-most populous country with over 1.2 billion people.
It calls my attention very much, because I don’t know too much about the culture of this country, and I have heard many curious and interesting things about it.
India's culture is marked by a high degree of syncretism and cultural pluralism. It has managed to preserve established traditions while absorbing new customs, traditions, and ideas from immigrants and spreading its cultural influence to other parts of Asia, mainly South East and East Asia.
Other characteristic that call me the attention is its culture, even more, its religion and its way of life. The religions that were founded in India include Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism... It’s very interesting the way that the Indians live too, I think that we couldn’t imagine all the traditions and habits that they have and that for they are essentials and probably for us, it doesn’t mean very much...
I would like visit India to know more about this millennial culture and country, to know more about my world, and to extend my vision of it: we aren’t the only ones that walk all over the Earth.
I hope to go to India soon, perhaps when I finish my career; it would be great if it’s the sooner the better.

Music to the sadness ♫

When I'm sad I always listen to different singers or groups, but it depends, for example, the music that I listen when I’m sad due to “X” reason, it’s different to the music that I listen when I’m sad due to “Y” reason.

Sometimes I listen to Calle 13; it’s a Puerto Rican group. Calle 13 is noted for its musical style, often using unconventional instrumentation in its music, which distances the group from the “Reggaeton genre. I like specifically 3 songs: “La Vuelta al Mundo”,”Muerte en Hawai” and “Latinoamérica”. This group was in Chile this year, in the Viña’s festival.  It was a total success.
I also listen to Manuel García, he’s a Chilean singer-songwriter. He comes from Arica; a beautiful city located the North of Chile…  Currently he’s called by the Mass Media “The commander of the Chilean Folk”… Why? Just listen to him. I like to much his songs, for example the followings: “Tanto creo en ti” and “Hablar de ti”. :)
Other groups or singers that I listen to when I’m sad are: Shakira, Nano Stern, Maroon 5, Usher, etc, etc… Well, as you can see, I don’t have a clearly-defined music style, even when I’m sad.
